BTV,
a state owned TV organization, started transmission in late 1964 with objectives
of dissemination of information , extension of education, motivation for
development activities and entertainment. It has a terrestrial coverage of 93%
population through 15 relay stations .Our average transmission time around 12
hours a day ; an additional 3.5 hours of transmission on Friday morning .We rely
on mixed programming system with an audience maximizing goal .Of the program
contents , 75% are local and rest imported of which News(20%) , developments and
educative (30%), cultural and entertainment (35%) and others (15%).
